list. Then walk up to the War Memorial Plaza between 6th and 7th avenue and go from there. The State Capitol is across the street. You can tour it. The TN Military Museum is connected to the War Memorial Plaza and there is a lot of guns, cannons, uniforms and more from all the wars that Tennesseans have participated in. Free. Then walk back down to the
Tennessee State Museum
between 5th and 6th Ave on Deadrick Street. This museum is about allof the State of TN history. It is pretty interesting. Free
Go to the
Nashville Arcade
for lunch. The Arcade is actually a unique mall that is about 100 years old with lots of stores and restaurants to choose from. Be sure to go into the Peanut Shop after lunch and get some delicious candy, nuts or ice cream. Everybody loves the Peanut shop. After lunch head for the entertainment district. You can see the
Ryman Auditorium
and the
Country Music Hall of Fame.
Both of them are on 5th Avenue near Broadway and they both charge a fee to see them but it is worth it if you are a country music fan. Lower Broadway and Second Avenue are where you will find the
Nashville Nightlife.
There are dozensof restaurants, bars and souvenir shops. If it is still early go down to the riverfront and check out Fort Nashborough. It is small, free and takes less than a half hour to see. Just hang out downtown for the evening. You can hear live music just walking down the street. You'll probably decide to pop into one of the
Nashville bars
just to hear the live music. For dinner there are plenty of
downtown Nashville restaurants
