Tennessee WineriesA Toast to Tennessee Wine Festival Tennessee Wineries gather in Nashville for "A Toast Of Tennessee Wine Festival". This is one of the few Nashville Events that you can enjoy some wine tasting. It is held annually in the month of May at Nashville Shores Water Park. 
If you enjoy fine wine this festival is for you. About 20 wineries participate in this festival each year. Many of them have won awards for their fine wines. There will be wine and food sampling seminars about every hour. The seminars last about 20 minutes and teach you about wine tasting skills. Of course if you find a wine that you just love, you can purchase a bottle or even a case of it. In addition to wine tasting there will be local artisans who will have their handcrafted items available for purchase. Usually they have a DJ to provide music. On top of great food, great music, and great wine there are free lake cruises offered during the festival. So when you are sampling food and wine you can relax with a beautiful view of the lake. What more can you ask for? This festival is great for wine lovers. Advance tickets cost about $20 and if you wait til the day of the festival to buy them on site it will set you back $30 bucks. Tennessee has a lot of wineries but most of them are not in Nashville. They are in the surrounding counties. Probably because Nashville is a city and there is not much farm land in the city. One of the most popular wineries is the Arrington Vinyards that was founded by country music star Kix Brooks. It is in Arrington TN about 25 minutes south of Nashville. Cheekwood Knights Live music and cash bars throughout the Cheekwood gardens from 6:00-9:00 on the first Friday of every month June - October
Centennial Park Every Wednesday in June watch Free Movies in the Park at Sunset at the Centennial Park Bandshell
Musicians Corner is also at Centennial Park every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
