Tennessee Performing Arts Center
Broadway Plays, Special Events and more!
TPAC, short for Tennessee Performing Arts Center presents a series of Broadway Plays and special
Nashville events
every year. The center presents about 500 performances each year and is usually packed. They have nearly a half million audience members annually. You'll see the best of
Nashville entertainment
performing on the stage here.

You may be able to see a popular Broadway play or see some famous stars like Bill Cosby, Jerry Sienfeld, or David Copperfield perform here. TPAC in Nashville is home to three performing arts organizations, the
Nashville Ballet,
the Nashville Opera and the Tennessee Repertory Theatre. These three organizations work on the stages of TPAC but they are not part of the center. Do you ever wonder what to wear to the theater? There isn’t a dress code but most people dress up on the weekends and casual during the week. Drinks are allowed in the theater and they sell food and drinks prior to the show and during intermission. No cameras or recording devices are allowed in the theater, but you can bring your binoculars. TPAC is located in the James K. Polk Cultural Center at 505 Deaderick Street in downtown Nashville, occupying an entire city block between 5th and 6th Avenues and Deaderick and Union Streets. The
Tennessee State Museum
is also located in this building. Public Square Garage, located one block east of the theater, provides guaranteed, discounted parking for TPAC patrons. Enter the garage on Deaderick Street or Charlotte Avenue between 3rd and 4th Avenue. Visit the box office counter to obtain your discount. Valet parking is also available. Check the
TPAC
website for additional information about parking. You may want to also check the Park It Downtown website at
www.parkitdowntown.com
for information about parking as well. Enjoy the Show!!!!!!
Donna's Corner
There are several
Nashville theaters
that has some awesome shows.
Chaffins Barn Dinner Theater
is one of my favorite theaters. they should probably add the work comedy in their name. The shows are so funny. If you have children and want to introduce them to the theater take them to
Nashville Childrens Theatre.
They have some great shows just for kids. I have discovered that I love going to dinner theaters. They are so much fun. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
