Many people don’t realize that songs like "Dust in The Wind" by Kansas, "Heart of Gold" by Neil Young and "Lay Lady Lay" by Bob Dylan were recorded right here in Nashville Tennessee.

The Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival is one of the annual festival and events that Nashville has each year. This festival is all about bringing attention to the people who write songs and recognizing great songs and songwriters from the past and preserving the future of songwriters.

Last year there were more than 350 talented songwriters who performed more than 80 shows at nine fantastic venues in Nashville. More than 9,000 music fans attend the event each year to hear great song lyrics music lyrics. It is a fantastic Nashville event that you are sure to enjoy.

•The Blue Bird Cafe has performances by songwriters and their music every night. Many famous country music singers including Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Trisha Yearwood, Kathy Mattea, and Taylor Swift and more got their start at the Bluebird.
•Douglas Corner Cafe: A lot of songwriters gather at this cafe during the year. Douglas Corner Cafe is not only a club; it is a full production facility. It’s a natural choice for the songwriters’ festival.

•Edgehill Studios Café: You will find just about every genre of music performed by Nashville songwriters nightly at this café. It is another great venue to host part of the Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival.

•The Hard Rock Cafe: It’s in the heart of the downtown Nashville entertainment district and of course it is all about music. It has been recently remodeled and has a pretty good size venue for music. It’s the perfect place to hold a songwriters festival.

•Listening Room Café is Nashville’s newest music venue. Rumor has it that it has the best sounding room in Nashville. Be sure to check it out.

•Mercy Lounge is a great music venue located in Cannery Row just off 8th avenue. They do a lot of special events including some great Nashville concerts.

•The Station Inn: Bluegrass and Roots music is what you’ll here when you visit this place. It is a great place to have a good time.

•3rd & Lindsley Bar and Grill: The motto for this Nashville bar is good music, good food, good friends. It is a great place to enjoy some Nashville nightlife for an evening.
