The Sommet CenterBridgestone Arena The Sommet Center has changed it 's name yet again to the Bridgestone Arena. It was formerly known at the Gaylord Entertainment Center and it is one of the best places to look for Nashville entertainment and more. The seating capacity is about 20,000 people making it a popular choice for large Nashville events. Just look at the type of Nashville concerts you may see at the Sommet Center. 
The center is also the home of the Nashville Predators professional hockey team and the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Taylor Swift Nickleback Bruce Springsteen Celine Dion Brad Paisley Miley Cyrus Def Leppard Sugarland Those are just a few of the many concerts that have either been scheduled or have recently performed. The Center hosts many other types of events as well. Take a look at some events that have occurred or are scheduled to perform soon.

www.parkitdowntown.com Donna’s Corner The last time I went to the center I went to a Nashville Predators game. My friends and I participated a 5K walk that the Predators were putting on for a charity. The good thing about it was we were helping the community and we got to go to the game with friends. I had never been to a hockey game and I tell you it was fun. I enjoyed the breaks in the game just as much as the play action because they gave away prizes. Sometimes it was just an upgrade in seats, but it was still fun because of the way they did it. It just so happened that the game went into double overtime and the Predators hit the puck into the net just one second after the buzzer. It was so close they had to review the tapes. It was a close game and I had a blast. If you have never been to a hockey game, I recommend you go at least once.

Cheekwood Knights Live music and cash bars throughout the Cheekwood gardens from 6:00-9:00 on the first Friday of every month June - October
Centennial Park Every Wednesday in June watch Free Movies in the Park at Sunset at the Centennial Park Bandshell
Musicians Corner is also at Centennial Park every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
