The Sommet Center

The Sommet Center has changed it 's name yet again to the
Bridgestone Arena.
It was formerly known at the Gaylord Entertainment Center and it is one of the best places to look for
Nashville entertainment
and more. The seating capacity is about 20,000 people making it a popular choice for large
Nashville events.
Just look at the type of Nashville concerts you may see at the Sommet Center.
The center is also the home of the Nashville Predators professional hockey team and the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame. Taylor Swift

Need to know where to park? I have found an organization called Park It! Downtown whose sole purpose is to promote downtown. They have a ton of information about downtown parking, shuttles and just getting around downtown. I recommend you that you visit their website to find where to park downtown. They can do a much better job than I can on telling you the best place to park. The website is simply
www.parkitdowntown.com
I hope you enjoy whatever Nashville Event you choose.
Donna’s CornerThe last time I went to the center I went to a Nashville Predators game. My friends and I participated a 5K walk that the Predators were putting on for a charity. The good thing about it was we were helping the community and we got to go to the game with friends. I had never been to a hockey game and I tell you it was fun. I enjoyed the breaks in the game just as much as the play action because they gave away prizes. Sometimes it was just an upgrade in seats, but it was still fun because of the way they did it. It just so happened that the game went into double overtime and the Predators hit the puck into the net just one second after the buzzer. It was so close they had to review the tapes. It was a close game and I had a blast. If you have never been to a hockey game, I recommend you go at least once.
