Short ghost stories and more can be found in Nashville in the weeks prior to and on Halloween. These are great places for kids to enjoy the Halloween activities.

Short Ghost Stories The Ghost Story Festival at the Tennessee State Museum is also a family friendly Halloween event on October 24th, 2009 from 1:00p.m.-4:00p.m. and it is free to the public. There will be prizes for children who complete each trail. Wear your costumes for fun.

The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a scary ghost story told by shadow puppets and live performers on Friday and Saturday October 23rd,24th,30th, and 31st. Gouls at Grassmere is a more family friendly Halloween event that begins Oct. 16th through Oct 30th from 5:00p.m. until 9:00 p.m. It is located at the Nashville Zoo at 3777 Nolensville Road, Nashville TN. The phone number is (615) 833-1534. Be sure to wear your costume.

Halloween on the High Seas: The Nashville Symphony and student dancersof the Nashville Ballet put on a performance of show with music from the soundtrack Pirates of the Carribbean. You will see pirates, sharks and stormy weather is the theme of the show. The performance is on Halloween at the Schermerhorn Center. Monster Mash Cruise The local radio station Mix 92.9 will be aboard the

General Jackson Showboat for a Halloween party. Dance to the Monster Mash in your best Halloween costumes. You could win a prize. Mention the code word PARTY to get 50% off admission. It should be a lot of fun. for more details.
