The museum has a library with some history of trains, a collection of railroad material including the largest collection of Tennessee Central Railway artifacts to be found.
The museum also has a collection of several antique trains including passenger cars, cabooses, freight cars and locomotives.
The passenger trains typically have air conditioned coaches and large sightseeing windows. The seats are comfortable too.
The passenger cars typically have a capacity of about 400 passengers and have concessions and a gift shop on board.
Currently the museum offers train trips on to Lebanon, Watertown, Cookeville and Monterey. If you take one of the museum's scenic train trips you will get to see just how beautiful the Tennessee countryside is. It is just one of the fun

The museum always has some entertainment planned for each trip. You might be on the train while a train robbery takes place or get to see a civil war reenactment.
They also have on board murder mysteries and they have a trip to Watertown’s famous mile long yard sale.
That’s not all. Santa and the Easter Bunny show up seasonally. Thomas the Train also shows up at the museum from time to time.
