Nashville TN Attractions for FREE
You can see several Nashville TN Attractions for free. To make the most of your
Nashville vacation
plan on visiting some of these sites. Historical sites are free to visitors and it is a great way to learn about the
history of Nashville.
While you are in downtown Nashville you can visit the
Tennessee State Museum.
It is free and has a lot of old artifacts found in Tennessee.
The Military museum and the State Capitol are both part of the Tennessee State Museum but they are in different buildings. The Military museum has a lot of weapons and uniforms from all of the wars that Tennessee has participated in.
Fort Nashborough
is also in downtown Nashville at Riverfront Park. It is a free exhibit about the first settlers of Nashville. Another historical site in Nashville that is free is
Fort Negley.
It is where the battle of Nashville was fought.
Nashville Parks
are also free. Now you might not think visiting a park is an attraction. Here are two that are worth visiting. Centennial Park in Nashville has the famous
Nashville Parthenon
in the middle of it. The Parthenon is stunning. It does cost about $5 to go inside the Parthenon but Centennial park is free. It is one of Nashville's
great places for kids
because they love to feed the ducks and there is a playground for them to burn off some energy. Kids also like to see the train in Centennial Park. During warm months Centennial park has free
Nashville concerts
in the afternoons. The
Bicentennial Mall
is a State park, not a shopping mall. This park is really nice. It has a wonderful summary of Tennessee history through out the entire park. It also has a fountain of rivers that kids enjoy running through in the summertime. It is right beside the
Nashville Farmers Market
which is also free, but you may spend some money in there. It has a flee market, a fruit and vegetable market and a food court for lunch. The
Nashville Public Library
is also free. The main branch downtown is beautiful. They have puppet shows and special events for kids about every week for free. During warm months they have free Nashville concerts in the courtyard during the lunch hour. The last thing I am going to mention is not a free Nashville Tn Attraction but it is free transportation to and from several of these attractions.
The Music City Circuit
provides free transportation around downtown Nashville, Germantown where the Bicentennial Mall and Farmers Market are, and the Gulch. So when you
visit Nashville
make the most of it by visiting some of these free attractions. I hope you have a great time.
