Baseball has a long season beginning in April going into September. The Sounds play about 70 home games yearly at Greer Stadium in Nashville. Taking in a few Sounds baseball games are
great places for kids.

From the North: Take I-65 South to exit 81 (Wedgewood), turn right onto Wedgewood and go to the first stoplight (8th Avenue), turn right onto 8th Avenue and go to the first stoplight (Chestnut St.), turn right onto Chestnut St., Greer Stadium will be on your left. From the South: Take I-65 North to exit 81 (Wedgewood), turn left onto Wedgewood and go to the second stoplight (8th Avenue), turn right onto 8th Avenue and go to the first stoplight (Chestnut St.), turn right onto Chestnut St., Greer Stadium will be on your left. From the East and the West: Take I-24 or I-40 East to I-65, then follow the directions from the North. From Downtown Nashville: Take 8th Avenue South until it intersects Chestnut Street. is next door to Greer Stadium. It's free and you can learn a little bit about the
history of Nashville
and the role Nashville played in the Civil War. It takes about 30 or 40 minutes to walk around and see the battlefield if you take time to stop and read the signs about the battle. They do have films at the visitor center so if you want to watch the films allow for extra time. Go a little early and check it out.
