Nashville Shores

A Great Outdoor Water Park with Fantastic Water Slides

Nashville Shores in Nashville is a great water park with some fantastic water slides. Your whole family is sure to have a great time.

Outdoor Water Parks

There are nine water slides and four pool areas to choose from. It is one of the most fun outdoor water parks around and it is one of the most visited Nashville tourist attractions during the summer.

New in 2010 is the giant wave pool and the lazy river. The newest water slide has 6 lanes that you can slide down at for 350 feet with speeds up to 35 miles per hour. It is called the Music City Racer and is a lot of fun.

The other slides are great too. With names like the Tennessee Twister, Twin Cyclones and the Big Scream you can imagine how much fun it will be to try them out.

While the older kids are going down the water slides, the little ones will have a great time in the Lily Pad Pool and the Wacky Pool.

There are two other pools that seem to be more for older children, the suntan pool and the bucket. Small children probably wouldn’t like the bucket pool because they are sure to get the water in their eyes, but the teenagers love it.

If you are looking for some more wet fun there are the lake activities. Aqua Park is in the lake and has inflatable climbing walls, water slides, water trampolines. Kids love it. Other lake activities include kayaking and banana boat rides.

All lake activities require you to wear a life jacket. The water park provides them or you can bring your own.

The park also offers dry land activities including basketball, beach volleyball, mini golf, horseshoes and a play area with a sandbox and a a tree house. With all of these choices everyone should have a great time.

Well now that you have decided to visit Nashville Shores you need to know what to bring.

Nashville Shores Lily Pad

• Swimsuit: You will need a well fitting swimsuit because when you go down a waterslide you will want it to stay in place. You should avoid tops or bottoms with ties that can come undone.

• Sunscreen: Get at least a 15 SPF and apply it often. Younger children and fair skinned people should get a higher SPF. The last thing you want on vacation is sunburn.

• Swim shoes: It will be much easier to go from one water feature to another without having to take your shoes off and on all day long.

• Plastic swim diapers for you infants or toddlers.

• A hat and sunglasses: These will protect you from the sun.

Some things you shouldn't bring are your valuables like jewelry or watches because you could lose them in the water. Also you shouldn't wear clothing with buttons or zippers if you plan to slide because they can tear up the slides. Nashville Shores 2

Don't bother bringing floats or water toys. There is not really room for them in the pools besides that is just more stuff for you to carry.

Nashville Shores is more than just a water park. It has a marina that offers a place to launch or park your boat as well as a place to meet up with fellow boaters and friends.

You can rent boats or jet skis from Nashville Boat Rentals at the park.

Nashville Shores often has special events during the year and you can also have parties there.
