Take advantage of the Nashville Parks wile you visit Nashville. You will find some of the nice and serene with hiking trails, picnic areas and playgrounds at some of the parks. Some of the parks have
festivals and events
and some have Nashville tourist attractions in them. Nashville has three dog parks and several of the parks have
golf courses.
The City of Nashville has more than 100 parks in Nashville and there are three State Parks in or in close proximity to Nashville for you to enjoy. Metro Nashville Parks
Wave Country Water Park
is actually a Nashville Metro Park. Right behind Wave Country is the Nashville Skate Park so if you love skateboarding this is the place to go. Both of these are actually the same park.
Centennial Park
is probably the most popular park in Nashville. There are always a lot of people at this park. The Parthenon
is here and there are several festival and events that are held at this park every year. During good weather you may see a play or live music at the park. The Edwin and Percy Warner Parks are very popular as well. These two parks combined have more than 2600 acres of forest, scenic areas and hiking trails. There are also horse trails and golf courses in these parks. Warner Parks hold some pretty neat events that you don’t want to miss.
Riverfront Park
is right in the heart of downtown Nashville. Historic Fort Nashborough is in this park. This is a small park but it is interesting and only takes a few minutes to see. Dragon Park, actually Fannie Mae Dees Park is very popular with the kids. They love climbing on the dragon. It is a great place for kids to play for a few hours. They will have a blast. The Bicentennial Mall
is actually a state park in downtown Nashville. It is a very nice park right beside the
Farmers Market.
In the summer kids love to splash in the Fountain of Rivers located in the park for free.
Long Hunter State Park
is on the edge of Percy Priest Lake. You can go boating, fishing, hiking and more. It is a beautiful park, very relaxing. Radnor Lake State Natural Area has lots of walking trails. If you are a nature lover this is the park for you. As you can see there are plenty of Nashville parks for you to enjoy.
Donna's Corner
I love being able to use the parks in and around Nashville. I have been to several festivals and I have trained for the half Country Music Marathon in several of the parks. I am proud to say I completed the half marathon. Parks are great and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
