Here is a
Utube video
from the 2010 film festival that you might enjoy.
If you enjoy film then you want to
visit Nashville
in mid April every year. The festival is usually held in the second week of April. In 2011 it runs for five days beginning April 14th at the Regal Green Hills Cinemas.
Last year more that 250 films were featured from more than 48 countries and more than 23,000 film enthusiast turned out for the event. This year is sure to be just as much fun.
With films crossing all genres from drama, comedy, animation, and family to experimental, foreign, documentaries and short films, the festival has something for everyone to enjoy.
Nashville is often referred to as "Music City" because of the long
list of country music singers,
songwriters and recording studios that are here. Since the festival takes place in "Music City," it is only natural that part of the focus be on music in films. Nashville songwriters often write and perform in some of the films.
Whats nice about the film festival is that is is small enough to have in-depth conversations with filmmakers, industry guest and the Naff staff about the featured films. At the same time there are parties and enthusiatic audiences to make it fun.
There are a lot of annual
Nashville events
as well as festivals that you could attend one just about every week. For example right before this one is the
Tin Pan South Festival
and the following week is the
Country Music Marathon.
All of these are fun events and that just goes to show that Nashville is all about having fun.
