Nashville Fairgrounds SpeedwayAn exciting night of stock car racing. The Nashville Fairgrounds Speedways has been around for an amazing 52 seasons and provides a great night of sports entertainment. sports entertainment. This Nashville speedway has an exciting night of stock car racing.
Adult tickets are about $10.00 and children under 10 are free with reduced rates for seniors, children 11-17 and students. Usually there are about 8 races each night that races are held. There is usually a pretty good crowd there. About 10,000 people come out to enjoy the races every month. The Fairgrounds Speedway holds races about once a month. Fairgrounds Speedway Have Fun!!! The Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is in danger of being closed because it is part of the Tennessee State Fairgrounds. The City of Nashville wants to get rid of the Fairgrounds and put affordable housing in its place. The Fairgrounds host not only the Speedway but the Nashville Flea Market and several trade shows throughout the year. I believe in progress but in this case, I hope the Fairgrounds can be saved. If you like racing, you may also want to visit the Nashville Superspeedway which is actually closer to Murfreesboro about 30 miles from downtown Nashville. Centennial Park Every Wednesday in June watch Free Movies in the Park at Sunset at the Centennial Park Bandshell
Musicians Corner is also at Centennial Park every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
