Nashville Concerts at Nashville Museums and Parks
Did you know about Nashville Concerts held in Nashville museums and parks? There are plenty to choose from and many of them are free. The concerts at the museums have a charge but still make for a great evening. What is better than sitting on the lawn with a picnic basket, listening to great music?
Concerts on the Lawn at
Belle Meade Plantation.
During the summer months concerts are held on the lawn on Sunday evenings from June through August. It is great for families or couples. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and a picnic basket with food.
The Frist Center
has concerts on Fridays each month May through July from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m They have live music, light snacks and beverages. You can visit the exhibitions on view in the Frist Center’s galleries. Fridays takes place rain or shine.
Cheekwood.
usually has a concert series during the summer months. Bring you lawn chair or blanket to sit on and a picnic basket to enjoy while watching the concert.
Full Moon Pickin Parties
presented by Friends of Warner Parks. The parties aregenerally the 3rd week of the month during the summer and fall. Bring blankets or lawn chairs. You can purchase food at the event, but beverages are included in the ticket price.
Centennial Park:
Metro Parks offers a variety of free Nashville concerts. There are several at Centennial Park where the
Parthenon
is located. You can bring a picnic or purchase food at the Centennial Cafe. If you are bringing kids be sure to bring some bread or crackers so that they can feed the ducks either before or after the concert.The Brown Bag Lunch Special Concert Series is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. -1:30 p.m. every second and fourth Thursday at the Centennial Park Event Shelter. These free lunch hour concerts feature a diverse group of musicians. You can bring your own lunch or purchase a delicious Brown Bag Lunches, which includes a dessert and beverage. Metro Parks’ popular Big Band Dances kick off Saturday, June 5 with the popular Moonlighters. The free dance/concerts are held every Saturday (except July 3) from June 5 to August 28 at the Centennial Park Event Shelter. Free dance lessons sponsored by Dance World are taught at 7:00 and 8:30 p.m. The live music plays from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chair. Snacks and beverages available from the Centennial Café or bring your own. Beginning July 11th, Musicians Corner will be live in Centennial Park every Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Located in the southwest corner of the park near Spring Water. You can also find a lot of Nashville concerts at
Nashville bars
and
nightclubs
as well as at the
Bridgestone Arena
and the
Municipal Auditorium.
Another place to find live musical entertainment is a the
dinner theaters
in Nashville. As you can see there is no shortage of Nashville concerts here in Music City, Nashville TN so enjoy them to the max.
