Freedom Concert: Independence Day in Nashville TNLet Freedom Sing!!! Want to hear a great freedom concert and see awesome fireworks? Visit Independence Day at Riverfront Park in Nashville TN. The 4th of July celebration has one of the best freedom fireworks displays in the country. 
This FREE Event begins around noon with a Family Zone. There are plenty of food vendors there and the live music starts at 1:00pm. There will be several local artist performing and usually there is a famous star performing, in 2011 Darius Rucker is scheduled to perform beginning at 7:00 pm. Then at about 9:15 the show begins, the freedom fireworks show that is. It is a spectacular show and the Nashville Symphony performs during the fireworks show. It is an awesome show and you don't want to miss it. I would recommend that you get there early because about 100,000 people show up for this Nashville event every year. Go early to get good seat and to avoid any parking problems. Why not have dinner at a downtown Nashville restaurant or visit one of the Nashville Bars on Second Avenue or Broadway while you are there. There are also several tourist shops to find some neat stuff to remember your trip by. If you go early enough check out the Country Music Hall of Fame. There is always plenty of things to do in downtown Nashville. Check out www.Parkitdowntown.com to find the best deal on parking. downtown Nashville
all weekend.July 2nd there is a 9/11 flag display at the Hilton Hotel from 11:00-5:00. July 3rd there is a FREE concert at Riverfront Park beginning at 6:00 then at 9:30 there will be fireworks. Also the Adventure Science Center has a great view of the fireworks celebration from their lawn so they have a 4th of July party every year. There is an admission price but you don't have to worry about parking and the crowd is much smaller. I haven't been to one of their parties myself but my friend Terri says her family goes every year and that it is great. Centennial Park Every Wednesday in June watch Free Movies in the Park at Sunset at the Centennial Park Bandshell
Musicians Corner is also at Centennial Park every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
