Douglas Corner Cafe was created for new singers and songwriters in Nashville to have a place to come and play a few song chords and lyrics. Songwriters and singers often get together here to create new song.

Many of these performers go on to record future hits songs. When you visit Douglas Corner you may hear a hit song before it becomes a hit.

You may also get the opportunity to see some famous music artist and songwriters having a jam session. Stars like Trisha Yearwood, Alan Jackson and Garth Brooks have performed here.

Before Douglas Corner came about, “The Ugly Truckling” mobile recording facility, spent years traveling around the country recording the top acts in all genres; Rock, Country, Classical, Jazz and more.

Now the recording studio has settled permanently in Nashville at Douglas Corner.

With all of this focus on songwriters and singers, the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) has selected this venue to hold a portion of the The Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival in 2010.

Douglas Corner is one of only nine Nashville Nightclubs selected to participate in the festival.

Take I-65 to the Wedgewood Avenue Exit (from I-65 South turn right, left from I-65 North) Turn left on Eighth Avenue. The Cafe is on the left at the next traffic light. If the parking lot is full, there's plenty of free parking surrounding the cafe.
