Demos Restaurant is my favorite downtown Nashville restaurant. If you like pasta, this is the place for you. A good portion of the menu is pasta dishes and they are so good. They also have hamburger steak, fish or chicken dishes. They have the best rolls in town to go with some scrumptious food.
The service is great. It is a nice restaurant with cloth napkins and the servers are dressed very nice, yet it still feels like a casual atmosphere. It is just comfortable here. Be sure to tell them if you are celebrating a birthday. They will take a picture of your group with a Polaroid camera. Usually you only get one picture but I think it is neat. They also give you a brownie for dessert which I usually share with everyone in my group. Demos is also near several Nashville tourist attractions and Nashville entertainment venues, museums, souvenir shops, Nashville bars and much more. When I have out of town visitors and we decide to go out, I usually choose this restaurant because I know that the food and service are great.
Also it is so close to the entertainment district where we can enjoy the Nashville nightlife. Oh yeah, you might want to know this. You will not get any fried food at this restaurant. I took my niece, her husband and their three kids there. The kids were not happy that they could not get chicken nuggets. They were reluctant to eat but finally they did eat the grilled chicken tenders and enjoyed them. The food is really great here and they do have the best rolls in town in my opinion. Centennial Park Every Wednesday in June watch Free Movies in the Park at Sunset at the Centennial Park Bandshell
Musicians Corner is also at Centennial Park every Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. It is a great way to spend an afternoon.
