Coco Italian Market in Nashville
Visit Coco Italian Market for a unique
Nashville dining
experience. The atmosphere is purely Italian, comfortable and friendly.
It is a nice place to have dinner. If you like delicious Italian food this is the place to get it.
You'll find an array of salads, pasta, paninis, fantastic pizza.
The prices are good, especially on Tuesday, when a pie and a pint of beer is priced at $10.
What is unique about this restaurant is that it is not just a restaurant, it is a market as well. You will find gourmet grocery items, specialty cheeses & micro-brewed beers in the market. You can also get pre-packaged meals to go.
Each meal ranges from about $9 to $12 and salads do not come with your meal. You have to order that separately. They have a wine list and various drinks and desserts to choose from.
Something interesting that they have there is a big flat screen tv with an aerial video of Italy. It captures your attention and it is good for conversation about Italy.
My friend Mary made a comment about the video. She said it is "Mesmerizing". She is right about that. I looked around the restaurant and several people were watching and talking about the video. There was no background music to the video or in the restaurant but that video still captures your attention.
Another interesting fact about this place is that they teach Italian lessons.
This restaurant is about 10 minutes from
downtown Nashville.
Here is the address, phone and website for Coco Italian Market.
411 51st Ave N Nashville, TN (615) 783-0114 Website
The Coco Italian Market is located at 411 51st Ave. N. & Charlotte Pike (behind the Regions bank with the Gold Dome). From the I-40 interstate heading east take the 51st Ave. Exit or if your heading west on I-40 take the 46th Ave. exit. Go past the Harley-Davidson dealership and take a left at the next light, 51st Ave. North and Coco's will be on the right.
The parking there is kind of tight. There is about a dozen spaces right in front of the restaurant and you can park on the side but... don't turn to park at the side from 51st avenue, it is a one way street and you will be going the wrong direction if you turn on it from 51st Ave to park at the side.

We had dinner there recently with our good friends Dave and Mary and another good friend Suzanne. We enjoyed it very much. It was a little warm in there the night that we went, but the temperature outside was still 98 degrees when we left at about 8:00 pm.
We all missed the bread. Maybe it is a southern thing but we were all expecting to be served bread while waiting for the meal. We had to order it separately too.
The meal and the service was great. The best thing of all was spending time with our good friends. As you can see in the video we were having a great time.
