Blue Bird Cafe
A "Must DO" when you visit Nashville
Visiting the Blue Bird Cafe is a must do when you
visit Nashville.
Many of the country music stars you know and love today got their start at this little cafe. For a number of years the Blue Bird is one of the chosen music venues for the
Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival
held each year in March. It is a great place to enjoy an evening of
Nashville dining
and great music.
Here's some "insider" tips from my good friends Dave and Mary. Get reservations. You don't need reservations but it's a good idea to make sure you get a table. Just call and let them know the number in your party or better yet make reservations online. The Blue Bird Cafe is relatively small inside - it's Nashville country - up close and personal. You may find yourself sitting only a foot or so from either a famous
country music singer
or soon-to-be one! When you arrive, you may find people lined up outside. If you have reservations stand in line to the "left" of the front door. The right side is for those that don't have reservations. The parking lot is small (in a strip mall) so get there early if you want to park close. There's also parking directly across the street at Green Hills Mall.
Green Hills Mall.
Turn your cell phone off before you go inside. There's no cover charge but you are asked to spend a minimum of $7.00 each. The menu items range from quesadillias to fish to sandwiches, etc. We had an appetizer, two chicken quesadillias, and two sodas. It cost us about $40.00 (not hard to spend $7.00). There's no talking when the musicians are playing so do your socializing before they start. There's not much time in between songs to chat. You may be sitting next to a record producer who is there to find the next great country music star - so don't ruin it for the musicians. It may be their one great chance to make it big. Many of the most well-known country stars got their start at the Bluebird Cafe. We had a great time. You'll hear, depending on who is playing, the song writers who wrote the songs or those who either have or will make them hits! It makes for a great evening of country music fun. You must make reservations for the Blue Bird Cafe online or actually talk to a person. They do not accept e-mails or voice mails for reservations. Here is the address, phone number and website address for you. 4104 Hillsboro Pike Nashville, Tennessee 37215 615-383-1461

I hope you have a great time.
Donna's CornerDave and Mary are some very good friends of mine. They have given me a lotof advice and ideas for this website. Dave and Mary have a website of their own. It is a great website about
front porch designs and ideas.
They are always an inspiration to me. Without their encouragement, I may not have done this website, but I am so glad that I did. If you have ever thought about
making your own website,
you owe it to yourself to find out just what it takes to have one. It has changed my outlook on my life and my future.
