Donna’s Corner

We went to visit A Cowboy Town on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately we did not arrive in time for the gunfight but the other stuff was good.

A Cowboy Town hay maze We chose not to ride horses, but did let our little niece be led around. That is my niece on the horse above and in the hay maze to the right. Isn’t she cute?

My niece had a good time but she got tired. I think that she was a little too young for this. Kids ages 4 and above should really enjoy it.

The guys went fishing but didn’t catch anything probably because they did not bring bait and couldn’t find any.

The staff told them where to find some, but there wasn’t much there. If you plan to fish, you will need to bring your own fishing poles and bait.

Your kids are probably going to get dirty, especially if it has been raining or if they pan for gold in the creek. You might want to take an extra pair of clothes to change them into or something to sit on in you car. Also wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

All of the kids that we saw around there were having a good time, and my husband enjoyed it. I enjoyed the cowboy music and just the peaceful scenery. It was a nice afternoon.

We did not go to the dinner show. My friend Glenda, her husband and daughter did a couple of weeks later. Glenda said she really liked the show, but she didn't feel safe in the canoes and that the hike up the hill stopped them from fishing.

It is a good size hill to walk, but you don't have to walk a hill to get to the town. We didn't feel safe in the canoes either.

If you decide to go I hope you and your family or group enjoys your time there.
